Planning Calendar Updated
The Planning Calendar has been updated to reflect the 7 on 7 on July 12th at Troy High. Veer camp and program ads are due soon, and don't forget that your physical is due at the start of Two-a-Days on August 10th, and the Football Family Picnic is on August 15th--Which is also picture day.
Sports Physicals
Physicals for fall sports are due the first day of two-a-days. You son CANNOT participate without a current Sports Physical. Make sure you son's physical is up to date, and you send the form in with your son on the first day of two-a-days, August 10th.
The forms are available from the school district web site (link to the right) and must be turned in the first day of practice. For students receiving their physicals at Adams High School on June 18th, the forms are automatically submitted so you will not have to worry about them becoming misplaced!
You can use your family doctor, but the physical MUST BE COMPLETED AFTER May 1, 2009 to be considered current for the 2009-2010 school year.

Thursday, June 18, 2009 Adams High School 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 23, 2009 Stoney Creek High School 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 8th Crittenton Sports Rehab Center will be offering athletic physicals on
August 8th 8:00 a.m. until noon. Please call (248) 652-5900 for an
appointment. Cost is $30.00.

It is with great sadness that I pass on the news that the Adams Family suffered a tremendous loss. Dillon Cope, (JV, #40), passed away on May 14th. Dillon's strength in the face of adversity, his constant humor, and honest affection for everyone he met, has been an inspiration to us all. For those of us fortunate enough to have known him, our lives are better because of it. He truly chose to Live Strong.
Our condolences go out to Dillon's family and his many friends and team mates.

Programs are sold at each home game and every year is a unique colectors edition allowing your message to be delivered over and over. The deadline is July 10th.
Order your Yard Sign
Nothing tells your neighbors that you are proud to be Highlander like a sign in your yard on game day! These durable signs will give you seasons of use and feature strong weather resistant corrugated plastic with a strong 10 guage wire support. Orders are due by the Family Picnic, with deliveries scheduled before our first game.
Summer Planning Calendar Released
The Summer Planning Calendar is now available on the web site. This calendar lists the current schedule of events taking place over the next few months. Please note--The Planning Calendar is updated regularly, please check back for the current version. Check the web site for late-breaking news on schedules, times and locations. Particularly when the boys are not in school, the web site is the best place to keep informed. The preliminary summer schedule is also available in case your are planning your summer get-away. The "Down Week" this year is June 28 to July 5. Other natable dates are the incoming Freshmen meeting on Tuesday May 5th, Football Mini Camp starting June 15th, Veer Camp on July 27th, Two-a-Days on August 10th, and the Football Family Picnic on August 15th.

Silent Auction a Success!
Thank you to all of our friends who made the annual Silent Auction a success! The Adams faithful turned out Saturday night for a wonderful evening marked by delicious food, and spectacular live entertainment from the Birds on a Wire jazz band. Thanks to our volunteers, the local businesses that contributed and especially the families and friends that came out to enjoy this special evening.
