The Rochester Adams Highlanders opened the season at home with a convincing 22-8 win over the Wolves of Clarkston. The offence rolled up more than 300 yards rushing lead by Marc Benacquisto with over 140 yards. Tyler Martin also contributed over 100 yards rushing. Adams’ 3 touchdowns were scored by Benacquisto with runs of 4, 4 and 17 yards. The offensive line dominated play lead by Mark Sicheneder, Nick Demiro, Kris Hermann, Tyler Kilpatrick and Matt Hart.

On the defensive side of the ball, Clarkston’s rushing game was held to just 50 yards due to the strong play of Tom Roncelli, Alex Martin, Benacquisto, Martin, Demiro, Sicheneder and Eric Hyde who also had two interceptions. The team kicked two extra points and Roncelli ran for a two point conversion.

The Highlanders next opportunity is at home against Troy Athens on Wednesday, August 30th at 4:30pm.
